What is the connection between the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, Candlemas, and Groundhog Day?

The synod drafts a document with suggestions as to how the Church could approach various problems.  It is not their purpose to issue a decree, unless directed by the Roman Pontiff, in which case he ratifies the recommendations of the synod.

Please use your best judgment in deciding whether or not to come to Mass in inclement weather. Mass will still take place, but we want everyone to stay safe.

Was Jesus baptized by immersion?  And how does this align with Catholic tradition? 

Ignore the built-in porch lights while you triple the electric bill by illuminating the outside of your house with never-ending, non-energy efficient strands of light that fill the hearts of on-lookers with child-like wonder and glee? Check.
